The Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Department (GHAVFD) Auxiliary is a group of community members who support our firefighters and help keep essential services strong in Glen Haven. From hosting our biggest annual fundraiser to showing up during emergencies, the Auxiliary plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping our community safe and connected. You don’t need to be a member of the auxiliary to help us. Our volunteers are a vital part of the auxiliary.
What We Do:
🥞 Annual Pancake Breakfast (July)
Our Annual Pancake Breakfast is the Auxiliary’s chief fundraiser and a favorite Glen Haven tradition. Held every July, it’s a fun, welcoming event where neighbors can gather, enjoy a great meal, and support the fire department.
Funds raised directly support the Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Department and help ensure our firefighters have the resources they need to serve the community.
🚒 Emergency Support for Firefighters
When there’s a fire or emergency, the Auxiliary steps in to support our firefighters so they can focus on the job at hand. This includes:

Providing food and drinks on scene

Helping with childcare or babysitting when needed

Assisting with other immediate, practical needs
This support makes a real difference during long, demanding calls.

Ways to Get Involved
There are many ways to support the Auxiliary and the Annual Pancake Breakfast, whether you have time, resources, or both.
🥞 Volunteer at the Pancake Breakfast
Help with setup, serving, cleanup, or greeting neighbors. Shifts are flexible and no experience is required.
🎁 Donate an Item to the silent auction
Contribute goods or services that can be used for the event.
🌟 Become a Sponsor - $500.00
Sponsorships help underwrite the event and ensure more funds go directly to supporting the fire department.
🍪 Donate to the Bake Sale
Homemade baked goods are always a highlight of the breakfast and a great way to contribute if you love to bake.
